Wedgwood Jasperware Cheese Dome and Underplate 4 1/2 Inches High

This is a rare Wedgwood Jasperware cheese dome and underplate set in Wedgwood Blue and White.

This is an excellent antique Wedgwood piece in excellent condition!

From the marking, it is believed to be produced between 1860 and 1885.

This cheese dome measures 7 inches (17.75cm) in diameter and 4 1/4 inches (11cm) high.

The underplate measures 9 1/4 inches (24cm) in diameter and 1/4 inches (.5cm) high.

This is a set - underplate and dome.  The pieces have a mat finish on the outside. 

The dome and the underplate have neo-classical bas relief images, which are in perfect condition with no chips or missing pieces.

The underplate has crazing that can be describes and feathery lines, but no dark discolouration or stains. See Photos. 

The unglazed underside of the underplate has some very light marks on the non-glazed that appear to be from handling and not from damage.  

The dome is in excellent condition.  No chips, no cracks, no crazing, no repairs.  The underplate has light crazing in the area under the dome.
