RARE WADE WHIMSIES Blow Up Polar Bear Mother and Baby Figurines 1962-63

This pair of figurines are of a Polar Bear Mother and Baby Bear that were produced by WADE England in 1962 - 1963 only, making them very RARE.  This mother Polar Bear and Baby Bear are hollow slip cast porcelain models and only a few hundred of these models are believed to exist.  These figurines are quite large for Wade pieces.  The mother bear is 5 1/2 inches (14cm) tall and the baby bear is 3 3/4 inches (9.5cm) tall. 

The bears are standing on ice and the mother bear is holding down a fish with one paw.  The baby polar bear is separate from the mother and is standing on ice with its mouth open.  They belong to the WHIMSIES BLOW UP series and are the likeness of the miniature Wade Whimsies.

The Mother Polar Bear has a black and gold "Genuine Wade Porcelain Made in England"  production sticker and the baby bear has the remnants of the glue from its Wade sticker.  The bears are white and the ice they are standing on is blue. 

These figurines belong in a cherished collection.  Both bears are in EXCELLENT condition with no chips, no cracks, no crazing, no repairs.
