This leather bound Holy Bible was "published and sold by H. & E. Phinney" in 1840.

This Holy Bible contains the Old and New Testaments with the Apocrypha - translated out of the original tongues. Also found in this volume are translations with the original Canne's marginal notes and references that include an alphabetical table and index of the names that appear in the Old and New Testaments.

This 1840 Holy Bible has entries under Family Records pages that include the names Stetson and Bradford recording births in Patten and Paris, Maine, USA. The book also spent time in Boston with a bill of sale dated 1873, Boston, USA.

Among the things found inside this bible, and will remain there undisturbed, are newspaper clippings, notes on births and deaths, and bits of antique fabric that hold a place or passage in this Bible.

The cover, the binding, and pages are intact and the pages show foxing. In excellent antique condition.
