Vintage 1920s CATHEDRAL CONVEX FRAME Bubble Glass Portrait Ornate

This is a vintage 1920s CATHEDRAL portrait FRAME with convex bubble glass.
The frame is ornate plaster over oak with applied 3 dimensional detailed floral sprays and leaves. 

The frame has a unique curve both on the bottom and at the crown and the convex glass is made to fit with the same curves and indents that fit perfectly in the oak frame from the back.  The frame is embellished with gilt accents on the leaf and roses and along the thin raised line near the edge.  A very beautiful frame indeed.

These antique portrait frames are especially suited for use as a shallow shadow box to display favourite vintage gloves, eye glasses, jewelry, or hankies along with the portrait.

The frame measures 13-1/2 inches (34.5cm) wide and 19-1/2 inches (49.5cm) high and 1-1/2 inches (4cm) deep.

This frame is in excellent condition with minimal paint rubbed.  The glass is intact with no chips or scratches.
