This hand turned 3" diameter wooden bowl with inlayed Swastika on the lid is rare and the symbol depicts good fortune and spirituality. This carefully handcrafted bowl and lid is beautifully detailed with patterns left by skilled wood turning, carving, and inlaid design. The pair of inlaid Swastikas whose origin was once a symbol of spirituality and good fortune decorate the lid. There is also remnants of words and initials N.S. on the lid. The Swastika was prominent in Indian worship, including Buddhism pre-dating the negative symbolism associated with the Swastika today. The box and lid are completely intact with no cracks, no chips, no scratches. However, the lid has remnants (nearly worn off) of letters and initials N.S. In very good condition.
