The two Scottish thistle brooches' are back stamped and signed MIZPAH with two hearts with an arrow through them.
The Scottish thistle brooches are metal (not silver) and have amber glass thistle heads. The pair are signed MIZPAH. Both brooches are 1 1/2 inches (3.75cm) in diameter. Both brooches are in excellent condition.
The Scottish Sword Dirk Kilt pin is signed WBs and made by Ward Brothers of Glasgow. The pin is sterling silver with an amethyst stone. The pin measures 1/2 inch (1cm) wide and 3 inches (7 1/2cm) long. Pin is in excellent condition.
According to Wikipedia, the word Mizpah has come to mean an "emotional bond" between people who must be apart, either physically or by death. Religiously it means "God will watch over both". Colloquially it may mean "forget me not". The gesture of sharing tokens, like jewelry, commemorates the meaning in the Mizpah tradition.
