This is a 1970 Whiting Davis articulating mesh serpent or snake necklace that can be used as a belt.

This mesh 1970 Whiting Davis Articulating Serpent Necklace Belt has an oval Whiting & Davis Co. backstamp. 

The design of this piece resembles a snake with a flexible articulated body that coils naturally around the neck. 

The material is gold-tone metal mesh with a smooth texture and shiny finish. The head and tail are solid metal in gold-tone colour.

This 1970 Whiting Davis Articulating Serpent Necklace Belt piece's snake head has a C-shaped clasp that fits over the body of the snake at any point that suits your style.

This Whiting and Davis snake necklace is 3/8 inches in diameter at the mesh part and is 33 1/2 inches (85cm) long.

The snake necklace can also be worn as a belt.
