1940s PEWTER VANITY BOX Embossed with Acanthus Leaf and Flowers

The box does not have any identification or back stamp. The box measures 6 inches by 4 1/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches high. The lid lifts off fits between the raised sides. It appears to be cast pewter with a rough finish inside and underneath. A beautiful vanity or desk top box with a practical use. The box is in good vintage condition with the pewter smoothed at touch points on the lid.
